Hi Everyone! I have some exciting news to share with you. I’m hiking the Appalachian Trail for hope! The Appalachian Trail, more commonly known as the “AT”, is a ~2200 mile hiking trail that stretches along the eastern coast of the United States from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine.

Show Hope is a non-profit organization that provides care for orphans. They work to restore hope by breaking down barriers that exist between waiting children and loving families. They help abandoned kids find parents through adoption aid, care centers, pre and post adoption support, and a variety of student initiatives.

Why Show Hope? A dear friend of mine was abandoned at birth many years ago. Through an organization like Show Hope she was able to find loving parents that raised her to be an amazingly beautiful, kind, talented, successful woman. Without such an organization, she may have remained in an orphanage until she was 18. She would have then been forced out to live on her own, with no real parental guidance or love.

My dear friend opened my eyes to major issue we have in America today. There’s over 400,000 children living in orphanages or government housing in the US, and millions worldwide. I’m hiking the “AT” to bring awareness to this issue, and to raise money to help fund this incredible organization, that helps abandoned children find loving parents and families to be a part of.

I will be posting updates as I traverse the AT over the next several months. Please like, share, comment on my posts to help me promote this cause. If you’d like to donate yourself, you may do so at the following link. I hope you can donate something– any amount will help. Thank you all so very much!
