I started out turning potpourri bowls. I figured it would be a safe place to start since they’re smaller in size. I was turning another one recently and accidentally cut the hole for the potpourri lid too big. None of our lids would fit the hole. I’m not a big fan of wasting time or materials so throwing this new bowl away wasn’t really an option for me. I’ve wanted to start turning wooden lids for these bowls for some time now. I just didn’t know how and wasn’t quite ready to take that step. Well, my pops carved out some time to show me how to do it. It was just up to me to take the step and get it done. So here’s my first bowl with a matching wooden lid. I think it turned out pretty well It reminded me that sometimes we have to step outside of our comfort zone to grow and accomplish new things. #WithrowWoodWorks
